Leadership Development
How effectively are you leveraging your most powerful resource?
As the bridge between an organization’s goals and the people who put them into action, managers are one of your most valuable assets.
In today’s fast-moving culture, many companies focus only on job-specific expertise when hiring and training their managers, resulting in managers with strong technical skills but limited ability to engage, motivate, and retain their people.
A manager must be able to create followership in order to sustain success.
Our leadership development programs provide managers with the tools they need to succeed on the job every day by maximizing individual and team results. Your participants will leave our workshops prepared to communicate, develop, motivate and retain their people. In addition, we help them develop the business savvy to align their teams and activity with your organizational goals.
As always, we begin by working with you to gain an understanding of your specific business needs and culture, then collaborate to provide you with the customized solution that will best meet your needs.

Team Building
From the standpoint of productivity alone, effective teams achieve exponentially more. Add in other results of the well-aligned team, such as job satisfaction, retention and a self-sustaining commitment to organizational goals, and the picture becomes even clearer. Team effectiveness is a vital component of an organization’s success.
Are your teams consistently out-performing their goals?
One to One has earned a national reputation for transforming teams. Whether we are guiding a dysfunctional team to effectiveness or taking a high performing team to the next level, we deliver measurable improvement with meaningful and lasting results.
We begin by gaining an understanding of the company and the team in question, then work with you to customize a solution that will leverage your team’s unique attributes to maximize effectiveness.
This methodology makes One to One’s team building programs a stand-out in the development and performance industry. Many other initiatives rely only on a common bonding experience, such as a ropes course, to increase camaraderie. While they sometimes lead to short-term changes in a team’s ability to communicate effectively, lessons learned from such initiatives are not transferable to on-the-job interactions and typically fail to have long-lasting impact.
One to One’s team interventions lead teams to diagnose and transform the factors that impact their performance. We create an experience where participants fearlessly and productively address any faulty processes, conflicting goals, tense relationships, inefficient use of resources, missing information or unclear roles that are hindering their ability to perform as a team. They leave with clear agreement and concrete, sustainable plans that will maximize their results and drive ongoing success.

Assessment
In sports, in battle, and in business, to be aware is to remain alive. Unfortunately, the view from the top of the hill is not always conducive to the self-knowledge that is so indispensable to effective leadership. One to One offers several state-of-the-art assessment tools that will enable your managers to know themselves, understand how others seem them and develop effective, concrete strategies for translating these insights into improved leadership skills.
All of our trainings are fully customizable, so these assessments can integrated into part of any of our workshops, One to One sessions, or executive coaching.
One to One offers the following assessment tools:
1. Leadership Effectiveness Analysis: LEA 360™
The LEA 360™ provides rich, practical insight on leaders’ skills based on input from their self-assessment, their leaders, and their direct reports. The assessment’s feedback is based on specific business-related behaviors as opposed to personality traits. The specificity and depth of this tool combine to create its powerful impact on a leader’s self-awareness. The clarity of the assessment output, along with a detailed action planning guide, makes it simple to transform this awareness into action with realistic, measurable actions for change and strong personal accountability.
2. DiSC® and DiSC Plus®
With 30 years of proven reliability and over 40 million users, the DiSC® Assessment remains one of the most trusted learning instruments in the industry. This assessment can help improve communication, ease frustration and conflict and develop effective managers and teams.
As a result of DiSC assessments and training, employees at all levels:
- Understand their own behavior
- Learn how and when to adapt their behavior
- Improve communication
- Promote appreciation of differences
- Enhance individual and team performance
- Reduce conflict
3. Personal Directions Survey®
Some of our clients are invested in improving their employees’ overall sense of well-being. Personal Directions® gives individuals clear and powerful feedback on how they see themselves in significant areas of their lives – inside and outside of work. This assessment provides activities to help individuals identify issues, consider changes, set goals, and implement actions that will improve their lives and work. Personal Directions® provides a foundation for career development and personal growth planning.
